Plot
Dr Geetika is a London-based gynaecologist who is expecting to become a dean. She is married to paediatrician Meera, and is satisfied in her life. Geetika and Meera decided to adopt a baby. Geetika balances her professional and personal lives well. However, her reputation is spoiled by an email to her hospital HR, complaining of sexual harassment. This complaint threatens Geetika and makes her afraid of losing her wife, Meera, due to her past. What will happen next? The rest of the story discusses about this.
Star Performance
Konkona is perfect in her role of Geetika. She mixes the manly nature to her role well, a sort of villain and hero mix, too. She did justice to the given role. Pratibha Ranta is quite decent in her role, supporting Konkona’s role well. Their chemistry is neat. Aditya Nanda is good in his role of Angad.
Analysis
The screenplay in the first half is tight. The film doesn’t have big twists, but the emotional pull plays the lead role and does all the work that a twist brings. The story showcases how a highly earned reputation could be destroyed in moments. The film picturises both the positive and negative sides of life. The second half has a lot of emotions, including Geetika’s imbalance and Meera’s dilemma whether to support her husband or not. This is the place where the story takes an emotional turn. The pacing dips now and then. The climax is a bit predictable. The visuals are good. The production design team should be appreciated for their choice of colors and properties.
